Every year in England, children in Reception and Year 6 heave their height and weight measured as part of the National Child Measurement Programme (NCMP). All parents of children in these year groups have been sent a letter explaining the programme, the data that will be collected and the way to opt out if you do not wish your child to be involved in the programme. The programme is dealt with by the local authority, NHS and Health and Social Care Information Centre (HSCIC). The information is also submitted for national analysis and publication in a way that means individual children cannot be identified.

If you are happy for your child to be weighed and measured you do not need to do anything. If you do not want your child to take part, please contact School Nursing direct at the Wye Valley NHS Trust.  The details of which are at the top of the letter sent to parents (01432 363940).

Children at Kings Caple will be weighed and measured on March 14th 2017.
