On Monday 25th April five of our year 5 children along with 95 of our children from across the Federation, travelled to London to spend a few days seeing the sights.

On Monday we stopped off in Watford, at Harry Potter World, to take a look around the actual sets from the films. We took a look in Dumbledore’s office, checked out the Gryffindor common room and dorms and took a stroll down Diagon Alley. We then travelled into the centre of London to take a ride on the London eye. A great way to see all the sights!

Tuesday was an extremely hectic day but again full of many amazing experiences. We travelled down the Thames on a boat to the Tower of London. We checked out the Queen’s jewels and watched the Guardsman at work. Afterwards we jumped back on our bus and went exploring in the Science Museum. We really enjoyed the flight and space parts. After such a tiring day we had a lovely dinner at Planet Hollywood in order to refuel ready for a visit to the Cambridge Theatre to see the musical Matilda.

Our last day was Wednesday but we still made the most of it with a visit to the National History Museum. We thoroughly enjoyed the dinosaur section, the creepy crawlies and the earthquake experience.

We squeezed a lot into our short stay but the children had a truly amazing time.
