Class three has had an interesting few weeks. We have now written are ‘tale of fear’ stories in English and we have spent time editing them and helping each other to make them better. We are now going to be working on instruction texts that will be relate to our topic on Extreme Earth.
We have been really enjoying our Extreme Earth topic and over the last 2 weeks where we have been learning about earthquakes. We now understand the Richter Scale and the cause of earthquakes. We have also researched some of the worlds most famous earthquakes to see the effects they have had on communities and human life.
In science the children have been working with Mrs Talboys to investigate fossil formation and the rocks they can be found in. They have so far created a clay fossil and are now looking at fossil records to see how fossils can tell us about a species in evolution.
