On Friday 17th March, Class 2 visited the Egypt Centre, Swansea.  Children had a wonderful time, mainly due to the fantastic museum staff who were extremely helpful and knowledgeable.  They participated in workshops throughout the day which involved:  Egyptian costume and music, handling artefacts, mummification, story telling and identifying animals of this period.  Pupils had the opportunity to view some rare objects in the display cases which were part of the Egyptian collection at the university.  Children enjoyed the practical activities and developed a greater understanding of what life was like during this time.
