Well it is busy as ever in Class 1. We have been doing the story of ‘The Magic Porridge Pot’ and the children are busy creating their own version of the story with a few changes of their own invention. In maths the children have looked at money and counting in 2’s, 5’s and 10’s. Science and our topic are both continuing on the theme of winter. We have done an experiment this week on whether salty water will freeze and looking at the animals in cold climates. We are also looking at aspects of our own bodies and this week thought about how food tastes.
The reception children have been creating a zoo in the outdoor area with animals sorting them into categories. They continue to amaze me with their enthusiasm for learning and creative art work. They have painted penguins and started 3D Arctic landscapes.
They are doing a fantastic job of learning the songs for the up-coming school production also.
