Class 1 have been busy this week looking at the difference between fiction and non-fiction books and how books can be used to find information.  The children have focused particularly on understanding all about frogs and their development.  We are also trying to find some more interesting and unusual facts ready to do some factual writing about them.   Year 1 have also used a frog feature text to answer some questions giving them a chance to interpret what they see in the story.

In maths the children have been looking at shapes and how we describe and sort them depending on their properties and also spotting them in our world around us from nature to everyday objects.

In science we have linked our study of nature to our work on frogs and will be sequencing the life cycles of animals and plants.
